Following the #EndSARS protest in Nigeria, the Lekki tollgate is more than edifice. It has become a symbol of democracy and the emergence of a new generation. It is important we recognise this place of refuge and reminder of the struggle of the Nigerian people in the quest to have a freer and fairer society. Furthermore, innocent Nigerians laid down their lives in the struggle, they left their livelihood to demand for a better Nigeria but never returned home, their sacrifices must not be forgotten. For Jimoh, the harassed and the protesters, let us drive this home!
