School uniforms became mandatory in 1990's. Times have changed. The kids who have had to wear uniforms and understand the uniform policy are now the ones with kids in school. Our parents had the right to vote and now its time for the parents of todays kids to have the right to vote. School uniforms are now extremely costly. Kids grow out of them so quickly. It puts an unnecessary and costly burden on the parents. Majority of states do not have mandatory school uniforms. It is time for residents and parents to be able to vote on the school uniform policy.
