March 20, Meatout, is important because it's asking people to not eat animals for just one day.

It helps raise awareness about animals, but also about healthier eating options and environmental sustainability.

Millions of animals are mutilated, confined, and slaughtered on factory farms and in slaughterhouses every single day around the world. The meat industry is also one of the main sources of deforestation and water pollution, plus health problems like heart disease.
