Lack of Sex Education in the Philippines

Lack of Sex Education in the Philippines
The Issue
Philippines has no sex education subject in the country it’s not properly discussed in secondary and even primary schools. This is promoting the sex education in the philippines because people want young people to be educated about sex so that they can be safe when they are of age.
But public policy should be that every student deserves access to sex education, an education that just so happens to protect those equipped with the knowledge.
Department of Education (DepEd) has rolled out a Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) K to 12 Curriculum Guide starting with Regions 1, 7, and 11 — regions with the supposed highest rate of teen pregnancy. Accompanying the curriculum are DepEd teacher trainings on CSE.
But lesson plans aren’t enough, and the government has acknowledged this by aiming to link classroom lessons to actual reproductive health interventions in community facilities. To combat the continuous rise of teenage pregnancy rates in the country
But not everyone has access in this kind of lessons due to not every primary and secondary school has this kind of curriculum in their schools and area,
Most of the teenagers in the country only gathers information in the internet The fact of the matter is we're living in the internet age, the holes in our education will have our young kids searching on Google, and some of those search results will be flat out incorrect information.
