Conguitos (little Congolese) is a racist product meant to demean and dehumanise black people. The idea was born after the independence of Belgian Congo in 1960. The advertisements, packaging and the history behind the product are is extremely offensive and evoke a racist imagery of black people. Till this day the product is still being manufactured and distributed by LaCasa, a Spanish multinational company based in Spain, Portugal, France and Argentina.
