Last Sept 18, 2021, Filipino artist, BREE JONSON was found dead in La Union. Boyfriend, JULIAN ONGPIN claims it is suicide but there are evidences pointing otherwise. That case is still under investigation.

Meanwhile, Ongpin was also found in possession of 12.6 g of cocaine which is a direct violation of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act). Ironically, despite the so-called "war on drugs", Ongpin was released by the prosecutor eventhough the act calls for life imprisonment without bail. Suspicions of corruption are inevitable.

On Oct 18, 2021, news came out that Ongpin has been finally indicted for the said case. The criminal information against Ongpin will be filed in the Regional Trial Court in San Fernando City, La Union. There will be no bail. 

We are still waiting for updates if the prosecutor has already filed the case in court. On top of that, even after the case has been filed, the judge has to make a separate determination of probable cause of purposes of issuing a warrant of arrest. The judge is given 10 days to do this. This is the system.
