With a population of about 177,000 people, It is a shame that the skating community of Rancho Cucamonga has not had a decent Skate park built yet. The only two parks in the city are very small and the older park is in very poor condition when compared to the skate parks in cities like Fontana or Pomona, One of the parks was built in 1987 and is widely considered as one of the worst skate parks in Southern California. With lots of open land around the city, there is no reason a brand new skate park has not been built. Central park would be the perfect spot for a new skate park to rival other skateparks in the Inland empire like Fergusson and Palomares in Rialto and Pomona. Our city has a great history with skateboarding and its a shame that the community who loves skating does not have a proper place to do it.
