Don’t give a voice to Bill Cosby. Cancel the show!

Over twenty four women have now accused Bill Cosby of sexual assault, and while they struggle to make their voices heard, some venues are still happy to give him a voice. This needs to stop. On June 6th, 2015 the Wells Fargo Center for the Arts will be hosting the entertainer. I want the Board of Directors at the WFCFA and presenter John Low to rethink their invitation to bring Bill Cosby to our community and cancel the show.
My name is Dolores Edelstein. Sandy Campbell and I decided to write this petition because we, too, are victims of sexual harassment, and silenced by our accusers. We know the toll it takes upon a victim. The last thing responsible businesses should be doing at the moment is giving Mr. Cosby a public platform from which he can make light of these accusations while these women suffer in silence.
While Mr. Cosby has yet to be charged in any case, the sheer quantity of accusations make them impossible to ignore. Many businesses, such as Netflix and NBC, have chosen to cut ties with the entertainer, in order to wait for the outcome of any such trial. Shockingly, The Wells Fargo Center for the Arts has decided to break away from the pack and and hitch their wagon to the accused.
The Wells Fargo Center for the Arts needs to do the right thing and cut ties with Mr. Cosby. Tell the board of directors to put their morals in front of money. Cancel the June 6th show!
