There was a bear sighting in Hirafu Village, Niseko. The Hokkaido Brown Bear is rapidly shrinking in population and unless we protect the remaining animals it won't be around for our children to enjoy. In Japan, when bears enter public areas they are quickly tracked and usually exterminated. We want to demonstrate to the local government body that this is not what the Niseko community wants - locals or tourists! Instead, we wish to see our large furry residents protected, now and into the future and better mechanisms put in place such as community education and proper study of the animals to ensure humans and bears can cohabitate in Niseko. ニセコ町のヒラフ村にクマの目撃がありました。北海道のヒグマは急速に減少しており、残っている動物を保護しなければ、我々の子供たちが楽しむことはできません。日本では、クマが公共の場に出没するとすぐに追跡され、たいていは駆除されます。地元の人も観光客も含めて、これはニセコのコミュニティが望んでいることではないということを、地元政府機関に示したいのです！それよりも、毛皮で覆われた大きな住人が現在も将来も保護され、人間と熊がニセコで共存できるように、地域社会の教育や動物の適切な研究など、より良い仕組みが導入されることを望んでいます。ニセコの熊を救うために署名をお願いします。
