KU BSN uniform

KU BSN uniform
The Issue
The Keiser University BSN uniform needs to go. The uniform states it is unisex but is generally shaped for men. The top is to big around the shoulders and arm but narrow at the waist. It also has the texture of a burlap sack and it’s see through. The pants are big but again made for men so they are straight with absolutely zero stretch. When you sit down they essentially cut the circulation in your hips and thighs. The pants are only slightly worse then the top. Due to the color being discontinued by other retailers there are no suitable alternatives.
This petition is being made in the hopes that if we get enough students from across the country KU will give serious consideration to a change in supplier, color and/or fabric so that the uniform is inclusive of all shapes and sizes. This will allow students to learn in comfort which will improve confidence and outcomes.
I would like to add that despite the uniform I have no other complaints about the BSN program and/or Keiser University. I have nothing but good things to say about the program, my teachers and especially my classmates. In fact I encourage anyone interested in nursing to consider Keiser University.
