On behalf of KS community members, student athletes, teachers, and staff members, we’d like to express our gratitude for the actions the executive board took Wednesday, November 18. As declared by your board, we agree that the “recent rapid deterioration of Kansas health evidenced by elevated positivity rates, the impact of other illnesses on top of COVID-19 in an overburdened health care system," called for your recommendations.
While we do understand the potential hardships this may cause our student athletes, the health and well being of our community members is of vital importance. In order to successfully reduce the spread and lower the burden on our health system, we must all do our part. We ask that the recommendations developed and carried by the executive board with unanimous approval be successfully adopted by the entire board Tuesday, November 24th.
