Start/Expand the number of Krispy Kreme Shops in New York State
The Issue
Do you live in New York State? Perhaps the Capital Region? You remember when you found your true match for your favorite restaurant and years later, it closed down and was never rebuilt again in your area. Well, you will probably remember when Krispy Kreme was your #1 go-to for donuts and coffee. Then, in 2004, everything went downhill. Krispy Kreme Doughnuts was officially leaving the Capital Region. Krispy Kreme in Latham got the Dunkin’ hammer when the Dunkin Donuts across the street left its competitor in the dust, and the Krispy Kreme in Syracuse fell to Dunkin Donuts as well. As of now, we only have exactly 1 Krispy Kreme in all of New York State, plus one which is in the process of being built in Times Square, which will probably be the only two Krispy Kreme’s in New York State until they build another one, which probably won’t happen for another century. For places like North and South Carolina, they get new Krispy Kreme’s built in the matter of months. For us - 15 YEARS. It took about 15 years to announce another Krispy Kreme for the state of New York. We do not deserve to wait that long. We are one of the only states on the list of Krispy Kreme locations to have no more than one Krispy Kreme in our city. We need to relive our memories of that Hot Doughnuts sign standing on the wall, or in the window, or on the sign of that shop, going into the shop and sensing that sweet smell of hot glazed donuts being made in the back of the shop. The complimentary Krispy Kreme hats and balloons. The sweet feeling of the Original Glazed Donut just melting in your mouth, the friendly employees that greet you when you walk in, and furthermore, the wanted feeling of going back there the next morning for a hot cup of coffee. We want all of those memories. To come back. Right now. And in new locations. We want Krispy Kreme in Albany, Delmar, Glenmont, Colonie, etc. With these locations, we won’t have to take a 2 1/2 hour drive to New York City. We won’t have to dream anymore of those memories floating right into our mouths and then waking up realizing it wasn’t real. But most of all, with these locations, it will be one of the greatest comebacks to ever hit the Capital Region after all these years.
