Ministry of Higher Education to revise the implementation of online classes.

Ministry of Higher Education to revise the implementation of online classes.
The Issue
Hello, I am a final year students and doing my diploma currently representing all of students in Malaysia who doesn't agree with the new SOPs implemented by Ministry of Higher Education in Malaysia. Most students current situation as depicted in TV3 Buletin Utama 28th May 2020:
Recently, Malaysia Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) released a new Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) for students in public and private universities which stated that most of the classes will be conducted online till 31st December 2020. MOHE MEDIA STATEMENT AS OF 27th May 2020. However, there is certain factors to be considered and require the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) to look into the new procedure implemented:
- Online classes conducted is not conducive for students as most students find it hard to be in an environment where they would be able to focus in classes, both pre-recorded or online classes. Some students even have problem with internet access.
- Internet access; although uncommon but there is a large number of students who are struggling with online classes as they don't have access to internet or devices required to access online classes. Although as stated under paragraph 6 of Media Statement released by MOHE at 27th May 2020 that students without internet access are allowed on campus; there is an issue where students would encounter latency during online classes and slow internet problem.
- Tuition fees and rents; Students spent thousands of Ringgit Malaysia to be in the university and major in courses they found interesting and suitable for them, with online classes implemented, thousands of Ringgit Malaysia spent on tuition fees would not tally up as the experience and expectations they had when they enrolled in their universities. Especially facilities fees, if they're not allowed to use it or be inside the campus, what is the purpose of paying such absurd amount of fees. Students who rented home and not hostel even have a hard time looking for an income to pay their rent only to found out that they have to study at home.
- Final Year Students; Such as myself, a final year students, found it a bit harsh to give priority towards new students to start their education when then final year students who has a lot on the line such as CGPA and credit hours to maintain, why don't give out priority to final year students to finish off their education as intended for them to maintain CGPA and Credit Hours or any other related things such as Final Year Project.
- International Students; Most of the international student are in a situation where they're confused with the new SOP, they don't know if they have any purpose staying in the country if all classes are conducted online instead of physical classes. MOHE and EMGS should also be prepared and follow the SOP if they are stuck overseas and they need to use the facilities on their campuses for their research and studies.
- Interstate universities and colleges; most students went home in rush when MCO first implemented in March, none of them expect it would be this long and left most of their personal items at their hostel; which some of it are valuable such as laptops and clothing.
Please do not say such things as "this would be a great new challenges for students to overcome to prepare themselves for the real world", our future is at stakes, we as a student deserves a better education experience.
It is highly appreciated that the government take action against the pandemic COVID-19 currently and manage to control it however Ministry of Higher Education need to revise once again the new SOPs implemented as there is a lot of factor to be considered.
