We the undersigned citizens of Kossuth County request the Kossuth County Iowa Board of Supervisors to deny Invenergy the building permit for the SE Kossuth County Wind project.   Construction of the proposed SE Kossuth County Invenergy wind project will have serious negative impacts on the county and its residents.  

 
1). Proximity of the wind turbines to rural residences are too close at 1600 feet.
2). The construction of the turbines will do significant damage to soil structure, tile lines, rural roads, etc.
3). The installation of wind turbines will lessen the desirability of rural Kossuth County for future residents.
4). Unethical practices with representation and marketing of wind project to residents and county at large.
5). Lack of transparency as project moved forward.
6). Misrepresentation of actual power output, efficiency, etc.
7). Decrease in property values, resale value of current residents property.
8). Negative impact on wildlife and habitat including bald eagles.
9). Interference with GPS and communications equipment.

10). Wind turbines may have negative impact on livestock
12). Complications to aerial spraying and seeding of cover crops.
13)  Wind turbines may have negative impact on the health and well being of the residents of Kossuth County in and near the project zone.
