Stop publishing and selling a racist book, "Little Black Sambo" in Japan

The Issue

"Little Black Sambo" is a book filled with racist terms and negative depictions of Black people.  This book was once banned in Japan, in 1988.  But now it is back in print, published by Komichi Shobo.   It is sold on Amazon Japan, Kinokunya Book Store, and Rakuten.   This book is given to children.  On YouTube, there are videos posted teaching how to read based on this book.  They will learn racist concepts while learning how to read.  The publisher and the adults who give this book to small children claim that there are no racist concepts in this book and that there is no racism in Japan.  Both of these claims are not true.   Children of African descent and South Asians suffer racism in Japan because of their skin color:  Baseballer LouisOkoye https://mainichi.jp/english/articles/20200617/p2a/00m/0na/026000c Naomi Osaka, https://www.sfgate.com/news/article/Japanese-tennis-player-Naomi-Osaka-speaks-out-for-15323944.php?fbclid=IwAR02oy7u9QyRmewvYxrpT4O3POnnz66r9L_ypyFuXtkV1Ki_B3hGdq0-owQ  and Hana Kimura, mixed Japanese-Indonesian pro-wrestler who committed suicide after racist cyber bullying, https://knewz.com/wrestler-bullying-woman-death/
