Developers must be responsible for any delays when it comes to completing their projects, says the Real Estate and Housing Developers Association (REHDA Malaysia).
REHDA explained that once an agreement is signed between the property buyer and a developer, the onus falls on the developers to deliver the home on time.
KIP Group of Companies / KIP Property / KIP Development Sdn Bhd / Kepong Industrial Park Sdn Bhd 199401033968 (319651-U) - is the developer that oversees the construction of a serviced-apartment: 8scape Residences @ Sutera - located between Taman Perling and Taman Sutera, Johor Bahru where numbers of buyers had entered into a sale and purchase agreement with them. The developer failed to complete and hand over the units (Block B/D) within the prescribed time.
Home buyers (monthly loan payers) could not be expected to wait for their homes for an unreasonable period, and the developer is liable to compensate the buyer in such a scenario.
This petition serves to demand an additional 3 to 5 years waiver of the maintenance fee of 8scape Residences (Block B/D) as a compensation to the buyers for the many extended delays in the completion of the project.
