Governor Reynolds, I and other healthcare workers are worried about the uncontrolled spread of COVID 19 in our community. In a few short weeks there will be lack of hospital beds and Physicians will have to make the difficult choice of rationing care to our patients. We watched in horror to see our colleagues in NYC or Italy struggling earlier in the pandemic with these difficult choices. Now it is at our door step. In the past 8 months we have learned about treating COVID19.  However, ultimately it is prevention and mitigation efforts that will help us control this pandemic. Based on recommendations of the white house taskforce we should be at least shutting down bars/ dine in restaurants and providing a mask mandate given the high positivity rate in our state. This would be a minimum with a 14 day positivity of 17 or above across the state.

  As our governor please provide us with the preventative measures so we can reduce the disease burden in our community.  My colleagues and I took an oath to protect life, please help us to do our job.
