On December 18th, all charges against Matt Sopron were dismissed. He was released from custody that day. Every witness testified that Matt Sopron had nothing to do with the murders at all. All three witnesses recanted through the years and testified how they were coerced, some given unbelievable favors and were threatened into lying for Asst. States Attorney Scott Cassidy. Finally the truth was heard. After 21 years Matt is home with his family.
