We, the undersigned, come to you in unison on behalf of Marco Borne. We bring to you this petition to appoint Marco Borne to the position of Dillard University Head Men's Basketball coach to lead the program back to its place as one of the elite teams within the GCAC Conference. We believe that Marco, as the leader of the men’s basketball team, will restore a sense of pride to what have become a less than competitive group of players (NOT TEAM) who are not reflective of the persona that comes with dawning the Dillard University "Bleu" and white. We do believe this persona begins with the coach.
Marco not only had one of the highest winning percentages, the most NAIA National Tournament appearances of any coach, but he also had a 100% graduation rate while he graced the sidelines at DU. Marco, since leaving Dillard, has continued his success, winning games at collegiate and high school levels.
Saying that, we the undersigned alum, bring together our loud voices in unison for him. Hiring Marco just makes sense, and it would be a dishonor for Dillard to not welcome this deserving alum back into the fold to lead our young men into a more successful DILLARD UNIVERSITY basketball and collegiate career and experience.
