IHello my name is Zoey I am 21 years old and part of the trans comminity.  The reason i am wroting this petition is because kik messenger allowed me to find like minded people so I was more comfortable with who I was. There a so many support communities on kik that if you were to shut it down many people would lose that support network. I know I myself have formed many meaningful relationships that i would never have been able to make had it not been for kik messenger. Please reconsider your decision to shut down the app, it makes me sad to think I could lose so many relationships that i have been building for the 5 years I have been a member of kik. It's the only app I feel free to be myself on and im.sure I'm not the only one. You've built a wonderful app and many of the people on it are super sweet.

Some of these said members have become closer then family. I met my wonderful boyfriend of 3+ years on this app, its really been a blessing. It's an excellent first step for people with social anxiety like myself. I've been able to break free of many fears I used to have.

If kik messenger is shut down, millions of people will lose contact with friends they have made, others will go back to feeling isolated and more still will have no other place to go, kik is an all in one app, and unlike many others has changed lives.
