KIIT University needs to enable Hybrid Mode

KIIT University needs to enable Hybrid Mode
The Issue
WE DEMAND HYBRID MODE!
These past 2 years have been difficult for all. But history is evidence that pandemics of such scale does not just disappear within a year or 2. It could take about 5 years or even more for the virus to stop spreading completely.
However, with every problem, comes a solution and this solution does not need to be attending online classes from home. Esteemed universities all across the world have switched to Hybrid Mode and have opened their doors to students, whilst strictly maintaining Covid Protocols and Guidelines as prescribed by WHO.
KIIT University is among the first universities to shift to online classes immediately with the onset of the pandemic, in March 2020. However, even after almost 2 years, they are not ready to enable hybrid mode! Students are suffering daily due to poor network connection, headaches and degrading eyesight due to prolonged online classes, depression, anxiety, feelings of isolation and loss of confidence.
Imagine studying difficult courses like Engineering in online mode, and paying 1.77 lakhs (2,300 USD) every semester for the same. It is impossible to understand important basic concepts just through ppts and videos, and without any real-life practical knowledge. We really appreciate that our university cares about its students' physical health.
However, other leading universities, with similar student population and NIRF ranking, have long opened and have been successfully conducting classes in Hybrid Mode. This is proof that our university can do the same, if they want to.
This really makes us anxious about the competition, we as KIIT-ians are going to face, in the future Employment Market.
It also makes us wonder if mere online classes should be of the same worth as offline classes, when majority of the students don't even understand half the concepts.
HENCE WE DEMAND HYBRID MODE!
We hope that the concerned authorities will take necessary steps to enable Hybrid Mode in the university, and share the reporting dates with us soon. It has been 2 years, and the batch of 2020 has not even for once set foot into the campus.
