On October 3rd, 2025, the Highland Hornets were going to take on the Barberton Magics in Highland's homecoming game. But three days before the intended kickoff, the Magics backed out of the game citing injury reasons. One may think this is a valid excuse, but the Magics have been struggling all season long with a 1-5 record whereas the Hornets sit at 6-0 and are #5 in the Fantastic 50 rankings. Barberton High School did not consent with Highland on this, and were the first to report this no show for Friday night. They also did not show up to the meeting with the OHSAA and Suburban League to make it a no contest, and we will play nine game this year instead of ten. On October 2nd, Highland's athletic director urged for Barberton to be punished from the league. This petition is to get Mr. Keith Walker's attention to punish the Magics in the Suburban League and bar them from being a member in future seasons.
