The current mascot is far too gendered and binary. The lords and ladies are a terrible choice to head a progressive campus, so it is necessary to begin work towards a much more inclusive collegiate icon. Moxie the cat is a paragon of comfort and hope throughout our campus. We here at Kenyon College truly believe that changing our official name to the Kenyon Moxies would be a great step forward for making our school a symbol of progression and inclusivity. We all love cats too so it’d be pretty cool I think.
