Remove New Racist Ads Featuring Col. Sanders

Remove New Racist Ads Featuring Col. Sanders

The Issue

The new Kentucky Fried Chicken ads hail back to a time when Jim Crow was the law, and a known racist, Col. Sanders was dressed in plantation attire peddling chicken. Many of us remember that Col. Sanders and KFC had many racial complaints while he was alive, and the brand had to be revamped to kill that memory in order for the business to survive. Why would anyone today think that going back to that era would be entertaining or beneficial? A time when unarmed black people are being killed without consequence in the streets and in churches, is not the time to resurrect a deceased polarizing racial figure to sell products geared towards people already being exploited. By signing this petition, you are saying you have had enough of being mistreated and disrespected in the media, and you have worked too hard to patronize a company that does not believe you deserve respect. Take a stand today. Tell KFC our voices matter! Let's get 100,000 signatures! These ads must stop!
