My name is Tracie Bowman. Twenty five years ago, my beautiful 16 year old daughter  Helen Nicole Kirk, was raped and murdered at her home. I have mourned her loss everyday since then. The perpetrator Kevin Lamont Adams was 7 years her senior.  This man had been making passes at her for a while...she turned him down repeatedly.  She had just broken up with his best friend, so on April 20, 1995 he went to our home with the intent of raping her and then killing her to cover it up.  She was getting ready for school that day and her father and I were at work already. While he was in the home , for several hours, he pilfered and took what he could fit in a large backpack that included guns and other items he could sell. Those stolen things and him bragging about what he did to her was his undoing and he was finally captured 6 months month's later and then convicted December 8, 1995.  He confessed and pled guilty to avoid the death penalty.  He got the maximum sentence of 25 yrs to life.  Now on July 6, 2020 he goes before the parole board.  Please help me keep him in prison for the rest of his sentence...LIFE!  He deserves no less, his rap sheet going in was lengthy with several arrests for abusing females.  I am sure if he is released,  he will do this again.
