Here's a link to the (fairly) biased survey distributed by the college in regards to e-texts: http://algonquincollege.fluidsurveys.com/surveys/karimif/etext-survey/ Check for yourself the bias in the question. In particular I like this one: If given the choice to have digital resources bundled into your course fees or be required to purchase print based textbooks after you arrive on campus (hard copy textbooks will on average cost approximately 50% more than the eTextbooks and digital resources currently provided), which would you prefer? Can you tell the bias in this question? Between releasing the survey on blackboard during reading week and the structure of the survey itself, it's clear that the college is desperate. The college knows how many print editions my class bought for its accounting courses. My anecdotal glances around my class indicate between 2/3 and 3/4. That doesn't make e-texts seem so successful, doe is it? Why won't the college release that info?
