Stop the building of homes on an area rich in wildlife

The Issue

An area known as Conyer brickworks up until the 1980’s when they were closed and demolished has been left to be reclaimed by nature since.

An application has been made and approved to build new homes on this site. They are not affordable homes and are not social housing. These are more akin  to luxury homes.

The area is home to turtle doves, listed Red and Protected by The Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981 and nightingales who are also protected under the same act which are already experiencing a dramatic recent population decline. There’s also an abundance of other wildlife and wildflowers.

These houses should not be built. Some areas have to be left to nature or eventually their will be none. Let’s keep some sites just for them so they can thrive and continue future generations of their species and for our future generations to see them. Let put nature before money and greed.

please sign and share as much as you can please.
