No more building on Kent countryside.

The Issue

In the last few years there has been an increase in houses, flats and factories being built in Kent - and unfortunately, a lot of it has been built on the countryside.

Obviously I am not against people having housing, I just don't believe it should be at the cost of the Kent countryside.

Especially in a time where the effects of global warming are becoming more and more noticeable. The increase in houses being built means towns in Kent will get more congested, which means more polluted air.  I also dread to think how all these buildings will affect wildlife.

Whereas green spaces indirectly impact our health by improving air quality and limiting the impact of heatwaves by reducing urban temperatures.

Also, people moving to the countryside want to see the countryside, not building sites everywhere.

They want their kids to grow up somewhere rural, so they can enjoy the outside world.

In my youth, I had woods, quarries, streams, fields, etc to play in and explore. To go walking and cycling. It was heaven.

Imagine having no green areas, no countryside, no beautiful views, no woods or lakes, nowhere to relax and look upon endless fields and flowers. I don't want to lose that.

The way things are heading, there will be no countryside, just houses, flats, factories everywhere. People want peace and quiet, not another city.

What a legacy we will be leaving for the new generations, nothing but a concrete jungle.

I don't want to lose our countryside. But this point, we could.
