Kennewick High School has been the home of Lampson Stadium for over 3 decades. Lampson was given the naming rights in perpetuity based on a them paying for the stadium lights. Over the past 30 years, they have received considerably more marketing value than what they originally paid. It is unclear if Kennewick School district could get out of the naming agreement, but assuming they can't or won't, it would be nice to have an aspect of the stadium reflect Kennewick High's athletic history and there is no name more prominent in Kennewick High athletic history than Ed Troxel. He was a wonderful man who was ahead of his time who had an extremely positive influence on thousands of kids regardless of whether or not they participated in athletics or not. Therefore, I propose that the field at Lampson Stadium to be named after Ed Troxel, and that the official name of the football complex be called "Troxel field at Lampson Stadium".
