Ban non-eco friendly dish/laundry detergents in Vancouver

Ban non-eco friendly dish/laundry detergents in Vancouver
The Issue
PLEASE DO NOT DONATE MONEY TO THIS PETITION. Hi we are two 12 year old students and we believe very strongly in our opinion. Our planet is dying. There are so many things that are killing it. Right now we want to focus on Dish and Laundry detergents. It may seem like a small thing, but it can make a big difference. You see when we pour these detergents down the drain, it is carried into freshwater sources polluting it. The unnatural detergents contain phosphate which creates an over population of algae and plankton. Once these plants die however, it sucks all of the oxygen, creating low or no more oxygen left for the sea life. That makes the sea creatures die. These detergents are also toxic to the water and making it undrinkable. We only have 3% freshwater left, we'd like to make sure we don't run out before we create a way to drink non-freshwater. First we will start in Vancouver, taking this to the mayor. Hoping the idea will spread. Please try to start using eco-friendly detergents from now on. You can do it gradually, start with laundry detergents, then to dish soaps, then to cleaning supplies etc.. Thank you! PLEASE DO NOT DONATE MONEY TO THIS PETITION.
