I am among the second batch of contract house officers who completed our two years of housemanship last year and currently working as a Contract medical officer in rural Sarawak; 

Most of us have just received an email asking us to renew our contract as UD41 ; Houseman salary grade with Medical Officer responsibilities despite us completing our housemanship training successfully ; all our 2 years of hardwork; tears are all wasted; we are currently working with no job security; no benefits like our permanent medical officer colleague and uncertain with our career pathway

Being a contract medical officer it is difficult for us to further our studies as the requirement for us to continue with our Masters require us to hold a permanent post

Despite all these; we are still giving our all ; working tirelessly serving the community ; We humbly request Ministry of Health to look in this matter
