When I was a child, my go to breakfast was always cereal. I ate many different cereals like Cheerio's, Special K, Applejacks, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, etc. However, all of these cereals pale in comparison to the one true alpha cereal Froot Loops. The reason why Froot Loops were so good (despite the amazing taste) was because of the beautifully crafted commercials. The masterful design of Toucan Sam compares to the likes of The David by Michelangelo. His design appealed to me and people all around the world in a spiritual way. Toucan Sam instilled each and every one of us with childlike joy and hope. However, recently I decided to take a load off and watch some good ol' fashioned television. While watching the picture box, a commercial began to play before me. Immediately I was struck with fear and disgust of which nothing has ever made me feel. I was shaking with anger. Red faced, my eyes began to dart around the screen. I could feel the sweat dripping from my brow. A few seconds felt like hours. On the left of the screen I witnessed the original Froot Loops box. Regardless of this sight, the children sitting down, as well as Sam, were changed. Usually I welcome change in my life, however this one was way too far. I saw a disgustingly flat looking Toucan with a rainbow colored beak and floating hair like Timmy Turner's hat. I immediately felt nauseous. Toucan Sam was changed from the amazing fluidity of the old commercial's animation and design, to this horribly flat and terribly animated Sam. This new commercial really shows how little the people cared while making this. This SICKENS me to my very core. I cannot begin to describe how furious seeing this made me feel.
