Domestic violence abusers are receiving DV services throughout the United States and it is wrong!

Keith Levin was a constituent of Albany, New York's District 21, having resided at 5 Nielson Avenue in Stillwater, New York but murdered in District 20 at 408 Eighth St in Troy, New York on May 21, 2008. Kimberly Mayo obtained support from Unity House, a domestic violence shelter for victims, although she’s the one who brutally took Keith Levin’s life on May 21, 2008. She murdered him! There was never any documented history of domestic violence between the two of them. She only used domestic violence as an excuse for her jealous rage that resulted in Keith Levin losing his life. She stabbed him and left him to bleed on a dark street corner in Albany, New York.

Please understand that there is a national crisis of abusers perpetrating the role of victim, causing services to be administered recklessly. The victims who need support are left in extremely vulnerable situations, where for some it's ended in death. During the trial, there were a large group of domestic violence supporters that surrounded Kimberly Mayo, while my family and his girlfriend were rightfully seeking justice in Albany courts. As this is Keith's 14th year absence from earth, I am requesting your assistance to ensure this situation doesn't happen again because it is still happening now. Abusers need to face criminal charges for misuse of domestic violence services intended for the victims they bring harm and death to.

I would like support for the Keith Levin Domestic Violence Anti Perpetrator Act where identified abusers are penalized for the misuse of domestic violence services intended for victims. While Kimberly Mayo pleaded guilty and served time on a 10 year manslaughter charge, she never faced any penalties for this willful misuse of Domestic Violence services. 

Keith is gone and Kimberly has served her time. So, this petition is about now! I’m looking to ensure current and future victims never experience this injustice again. Thank you for your time and support!
