Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, we urge you to attend in person the UN COP30 climate conference in Belem, Brazil, starting on 10 November 2025. The world stands on the brink of climate disaster; this represents an existential threat to the UK and many other countries around the world. Recommitting to the UK’s pledges to reach net zero no later than 2050 and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by at least 68% by 2030 to meet the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement, carried out in concert with other world leaders, will show the necessary leadership to encourage other big polluter countries to commit to similar urgent action.
