We were shocked to hear that Value Village/Savers will be closing its doors in Timmins, Ontario, come September 2022.

Value Village has been a pillar of our community for over a decade. It is a go-to for young families, seniors, and everyone in between. We, like many others, choose to shop secondhand before buying new.

Value Village Timmins is the only thrift store of its kind in Northern Ontario for 300 kilometers (the nearest being in Sudbury, Ontario, down a two-lane highway). We cannot imagine living in a city without a Value Village. We would be hard pressed to thrift essential homewares, clothing, and other goods if we can only frequent Value Village a few times per year, at best, in our travels.
