Living in Toscana Isles should be a sanctuary of peace, security, and exclusivity for all residents. Our community was designed and developed as a gated community, offering the comforts and assurance of private living. However, the potential for public access threatens to dismantle the very fabric of our neighborhood.

The worry isn't just hypothetical; opening our roads to public access could lead to a cascade of consequences that drain the quality of life here. When the public and developers gain the ability to use Toscana Isles as a thoroughfare, the character of our community is at risk. Expansion in adjacent areas will be accelerated by this additional accessibility, encouraging more housing developments that strain our resources further. 

Economic implications are real and daunting. As public accessibility broadens, the exclusivity and desirability of our neighborhood will likely decline, leading to decreased property values. Prospective homeowners may choose other true gated communities, affecting our investment in our homes and futures.

There are also environmental concerns that cannot be ignored. A sudden increase in road usage due to public access that will encourage nearby developments will exacerbate existing water supply issues and heighten the risk of flooding from overdevelopment in the surrounding areas. The increase in road traffic will only increase the wear and tear on our roads, adding unforeseen maintenance costs to our community.   More cars driving through Toscana Isles will increase the risk of accidents.   In Toscana Isles, the roads are paid for through our CDD fees.  It does not make sense that residents who shoulder the financial burden of maintaining our roads will have to open them up to the public for any period of time.   

Safety and security are paramount to Toscana Isles’ appeal. Allowing public access could create opportunities for unauthorized individuals to gain access to our community pool and other amenities, risking the security and safety of all our residents. This increased vulnerability is unacceptable to the families and individuals who chose Toscana Isles as their safe haven.   We have already faced intruders gaining unauthorized access to our pool.   Those who want to cause harm to Toscana Isles will have a more open path to our private development and its amenities, which may result not only in a safety issue but potentially a financial burden if any form of vandalism results due to public access.  

We have already paid for our roads through our CDD fees, confirming their status as private, and it should remain that way. These roads are not meant for public use; they are an integral part of maintaining the security and exclusivity of Toscana Isles.
