Keep TISA Open: Let Our Children Finish the School Year

Keep TISA Open: Let Our Children Finish the School Year
The Issue
We, the parents, families, and supporters of Triad International Studies Academy, urge state education leaders to allow our school to remain open through the end of the 2025–2026 school year, so our children can complete their education in a stable and supportive environment.
Many families at Triad International Studies Academy have experienced unimaginable growth and transformation in their children, both academically and socially, thanks to the supportive and nurturing environment the school provides. Particularly, we witness the success of EC (Exceptional Children) who, in many other settings, might not have the tailored support they receive here. The proportion of EC children thriving at our academy is noteworthy and serves as a testament to the school's dedication to fostering inclusivity and excellence.
Despite these proven benefits, the charter for Triad International Studies Academy faces revocation. This decision threatens to dismantle a thriving educational community so early in the 2025-2026 school year. We appeal to the State Board of Education, the Office of Charter Schools, and the Charter School Review Board to reconsider and, instead, stay the revocation process, thereby allowing the academy to continue its operations through this academic year.
Triad International Studies Academy has cultivated a unique and impactful learning environment where not only the general student population excels, but also children with special needs. This achievement is not merely about maintaining the status quo, but continuing a journey of proven educational excellence.
The revocation of the academy's charter not only disrupts the students' academic progress but also impacts families who have invested in the school's vision of inclusive and individualized learning. By allowing the charter to remain in effect, students who rely on the academy's specialized teaching methods and those who benefit from the closely-knit community feel encouraged and favorable to continue their educational journey.
We urge the relevant authorities to step back and consider the long-term impact on the students’ lives and the invaluable contributions the Triad International Studies Academy makes to the educational landscape. Education is not "one size fits all", and this academy is proof that customized approaches can yield exceptional results.
Please sign this petition and help us in safeguarding the education and future of countless students who call Triad International Studies Academy home. Let us unite to ensure that this unique academic haven continues to flourish.
