Keep The Snipes Accessible for Community Recreation

The Snipes has been used by local residents for generations for walking, recreation, and enjoying nature. It is also an important habitat for wildlife, including skylarks. Recently, public access has been restricted without explanation.

We, the undersigned residents of Stourport-on-Severn, particularly Areley Kings and Areley Cross, have valued this land for generations of open community recreation and its environmental importance, and we ask that local authorities and the landowner recognize and support its continued use by the community.

The land has been used openly and freely for exercise, fresh air, and enjoying nature for decades, without signs, roping, or requests for permission, and it forms an important green space for our community.
