Keep the Radio Show Limited/Radio Le Mans team as the voice of IMSA Worldwide

The Issue

The voices of the RLM team are immediately recognizable to sports car fans new and old in every corner of the globe.  For many such race fans, these commentators are inexorably linked to our origins in watching endurance racing.

As John Hindhaugh noted in his sign off message at the end of the 2023 broadcast from Motul Petit Le Mans, RLM in one form or another has been there from the very start of this great event.  They have been the radio voice of IMSA since it was reborn and they were already the voice of its immediate predecessor ALMS.  IMSA continues to climb to new heights with the rebirth of GTP and convergence with the ACO.  No other voices carry the professionalism, knowledge and especially the passion for IMSA that the RLM team brings to the broadcast.  The fans feel that same passion and we hear ourselves in the voices of John, Shea, Jeremy and the whole production.

Losing the RLM team would be bad enough for IMSA's Weathertech Sportscar Championship.  Worse yet would be the impact on Michelin Pilot Challenge, VP Racing Sportscar Challenge, Idemitsu Global MX-5 Cup, Porsche Carrera Cup Deluxe North America and Lamborghini Super Trofeo (and the Mustang one-make series to come).  No one else in motorsport can match the professionalism the team brings to these series and elevate them in the same way the RLM team does during race weekends and beyond.

As fans, we know our sport is changing and we are thrilled to see the rise in popularity, manufacturer involvement, viewership and attendance that 2023 brought to IMSA.  There is no need to add a change from RLM which has been a success in the booth since long before the seeds of today's on-track success were sown.
