🌴 Palm Petition Update – We’ve Hit 449 Supporters! 🌴
This is massive, 449 people have now signed the petition to keep the Phoenix palms at Laingholm Beach. That’s an incredible show of community support, and it’s still growing every day.
To make sure this is formally acknowledged by Council, the only effective pathway is a deputation to the Waitākere Ranges Local Board. A deputation gives us 10 minutes to speak directly to the Board, present the petition, and ensure our community voice is heard.
The next Waitākere Ranges Local Board meeting is Thursday, 26 March 2026.
This is our earliest opportunity to get on the agenda.

To keep the momentum going, we’re releasing a small run of limited‑edition “Laingholm Beach” T‑shirts.
All proceeds will go directly to the Laingholm Volunteer Fire Brigade.
