Keep the Panto in Motherwell

Keep the Panto in Motherwell
The Issue
I am a Motherwell resident. The panto is a long standing tradition. It has provided joy for generations for members of the local community.
The panto has given lots of people in the theatre industry their first break.
Without a panto Motherwell will have no large scale theatre all year.
The Panto is scheduled to move to Airdrie Town Hall in 2025. Making this the last year for the panto in Motherwell.
Jim Logue leader of the Council stated only on December 5th this year (2024) that “the hugely popular pantomime will continue to have a home at Ravenscraig”. https://www.northlanarkshire.gov.uk/news/motherwell-concert-hall-and-theatre-be-demolished It is confirmed it will move is 2025 so there is no home for the Panto at Motherwell next year.
Airdrie Town Hall is not as local for residents of Motherwell. It is unlikely a large percentage will make the trip instead either not enjoying a Panto or going to Hamilton, Glasgow or other more accessible pantos.
It is likely when the Panto leave the town it will not return. Ending a lot of enjoyment for the people of the town.
