I am a resident of Carnforth, UK, and am reaching out to all connoisseurs of our local heritage, to step forward and cast a helping hand to preserve an important cornerstone of our community, The Nib, Millhead Pub. This busy village pub has been at the heart of our community, fostering connections, and serving as a hub for our local football and golf teams.

The Current Owner of The Nib Millhead, Daniel White is planning on closing The Nib and applying for planning and change of use to turn the Pub including the building and land in to residential properties. 

The closure of our beloved pub signifies more than just losing a favorite spot, it means losing a significant part of our local identity. It is grounded in facts that local pubs in the UK have been dwindling at an alarming rate; about 40% of UK’s local pubs have closed since the 70s, with consistent closures since then. 

It is not just about the loss of beer and hospitality; it's also about the loss of community spirit and gatherings, shared celebrations, and collective consolations that have been held within the cozy ambiance of The Nib. We risk losing the roots that tie us to our past, the interactions that sustain our present, and the gathering space vital for nurturing future community relationships.
