The select board of Charlestown NH is currently trying to shut down the clubhouse. As of right now they are closed until further notice due to them receiving a notice from the board. 

The town has come up with multiple ridiculous reasons to shut them down a major one being the “noise” and that they have added things to their property trying to 1 make more room for the people who regularly visit the establishment and 2 add more fun things for people to do while they are there.

the town knew the clubhouse was opening as a bar and grill and they approved it but due to bias and the “party-poopers” if you will of the town they are now pushing to close it all together.

We respectfully urge local authorities and decision-makers to consider the cultural and economic value the clubhouse bar and grill brings to Charlestown.

This is not just about preserving a business but preserving an up and coming spot where the community can come together,  whether it’s stopping in during the day for breakfast and lunch or going out at night for dinner and staying for drinks with your friends listening to the dj/live bands.

if you’ve read this far I would also like to add something from my experience - I am 22 years old and due to anxiety I hadn’t been to a bar before going to the clubhouse, my mother took me there for my 22nd birthday back in late January. Since then I have continued to go and I have come to love this place, not only are the prices good and the food/drinks top tier but the people who work there are incredibly nice and caring people. I have never once had a bad time here, anytime there was trouble people were told to leave and even after causing a fuss they are offered a ride home. If you close The Clubhouse Bar and Grill you are getting rid of one of the best things to happen here in this town. There is NOTHING for young adults to do other than cause trouble and this gives us something to do. You don’t have to like it or the owners but don’t ruin something that isn’t causing a problem.  

and if you are pro close the clubhouse I can say for certain you’ve never visited that’s for sure !
