We the undersigned members of the Bears Fourth Phase are concerned about the future of our team.  We recognize that with the disappointing negotiations that have occurred in Springfield regarding the stadium deal that the administration is seeking a change to the location of the team.  Our main concern is over the fate of the franchise should the team decide to relocate to Indiana.  

The Bears have done an excellent job improving the team over the past couple years, and frankly, after several lean years, the current Bears team is one in which we - the fans - take immense pride.  We have been loyal supporters through thick and thin, and we do not want to watch as the Franchise leaves town just as the team starts to round into form as annual Super Bowl competitors.  

Our concern centers on the great difficulty we will have in attending home games from a state away.   Though it would be a hinderance on the majority of the fandom, it would also play a big role in the performance of the team, as even some of the most loyal fans have no interest in attending games in Indiana.  To the extent that the Fourth Phase impacts the game, lower attendance, or a lack of rabid fans may jeopardize any benefit the team sees on the field. 

We feel that if there is to be a change in the location of the stadium it should remain in Illinois.  We feel that with a new stadium in the heart of its die-hard fanbase this team will have success for many years to come.
