Keep Professor M. Reza Roushan at Conestoga College
The Issue
As a student in the biotechnology program at Conestoga College, I was heartbroken when I learned that we might lose Professor M. Reza Roushan, one of the most inspiring and invaluable instructors in our program. Many of us share my sentiment, and we believe that his continued presence as a full-time faculty member is crucial for the success and growth of our program.
Professor Roushan is not just an instructor; he is a mentor and guide who ignites our passion for biotechnology. His expertise, patience, and dedication have made a significant impact on our educational journey, equipping us with the skills and knowledge we need to excel in our chosen field. The loss of such a talented educator would be a great detriment to current and future students in the program.
The biotechnology field is rapidly evolving, and having access to experienced educators like Professor Roushan ensures we stay at the cutting edge. His research contributions and industry connections provide us with opportunities that no other college in Ontario can offer.
Conestoga College has built a strong reputation for its biotechnology program, largely due to the quality of its educators. Keeping Professor Roushan as a full-time faculty member will ensure that this reputation not only remains intact but continues to flourish. We need the support of the administration to recognize the immense value he brings and to make the necessary arrangements for him to remain a part of our academic community.
I urge Conestoga College and the decision-makers involved to take immediate action to retain Professor M. Reza Roushan within our faculty. By doing so, we invest in our students’ futures and the ongoing success of the biotechnology program.
