The back patio at the Mix has been a staple of the Castro for decades. It has served as one of the few places our community can gather outdoors, well before the days of parklets. Whether under the name Mix, Uncle Berts, or even the Village our space has remained much the same. 

All of these years, we have been allowed to have outdoor music on our patio. Unfortunately, like many other things in San Francisco, you now need a permit to do so.

We are asking for your help. 

We hope to amend our current Place of Entertainment permit to allow us to have music (outdoor amplified sound) on the patio Sunday thru Wednesday until 11pm and Thursday thru Saturday until 1am.
