Hi everyone —
Quick update because things are moving fast.
Last week, a 24-page amendment from The Boring Company was quietly added to a bill in the Tennessee Legislature that would create a state "subterranean" authority giving this body power over what happens underground — including utilities and infrastructure corridors — and it applies statewide.
The board would be made up entirely of state appointees. No local representation required.
This isn’t just about one Nashville tunnel. It sets up a permanent authority with broad control over underground infrastructure across Tennessee.
Tonight, Charlane Oliver and Delishia Porterfield are holding a town hall to talk through what this means and what comes next.
TONIGHT!!!! Monday, March 2 at 6:30 PM at First Baptist Church Capitol Hill, 625 Rosa L Parks Blvd. Dinner is served.
