Ms. Colombo is a dedicated teacher who directs the orchestra, runs tech theater, and teaches music theory, along with electives. Ms. Colombo holds a significant role in the performing arts, and with her potential move to the elementary school, we will be losing the best and most valuable teacher here at Mansfield High School.

The school district is unfortunately moving and laying off teachers due to the budget cut, which threatens Ms. Colombo’s position here at the high school. Her move to the elementary school impacts the performing arts students deeply, we will be losing an extremely qualified and unique person to direct our high school performing arts programs, as well as losing one of the high school’s kindest and dedicated teachers. 

Ms. Colombo not only teaches how to play instruments and be involved in the performing arts, but she is a person who deeply connects with her students. She is irreplaceable, her impact for the performing arts programs are valuable to everyone, and her connection with her students is something not every teacher has.
