The Issue

Two years ago, my child had the incredible fortune of joining Mr. Iglesias’s dance program at Jefferson Middle School. In this short span, he has not only transformed the program but also uplifted every student under his guidance — taking them all the way to the National Championship. Under his mentorship, I have witnessed not just a remarkable improvement in my child’s dance skills, but also a surge in confidence and self-assuredness.

Mr. Iglesias’s impact stretches beyond the studio walls. As a community, we have felt his dedication to our children, and his passion that breathes life into every performance and practice. He has succeeded where others have tried and faltered, uniting us as parents and community members through a shared love for dance and for our children’s success.

However, the school administration is considering changes to the teaching staff, and there is a potential risk that Mr. Iglesias will no longer be the dance teacher at Jefferson Middle School. This would be a tremendous loss for our children, who flourish under his unique approach, and for us as a community that thrives on the unity and sense of belonging he fosters.

Keeping Mr. Iglesias in our school is essential, not just for our kids' educational and personal development, but for the overall spirit of community he strengthens day in and day out. His professional qualifications and unrivaled commitment to his students and their families make him an irreplaceable part of our school's fabric.

Let's come together and ensure that our voices are heard. Sign this petition to show your support for Mr. Iglesias, a true pillar of our community, and to advocate for his continuance as the dance teacher at Jefferson Middle School. We owe it to our children and our community to keep nurturing the thriving environment he has created. Please sign and share this petition today.
