"How I Met Your Mother," has just been announced by Netflix that it will be removed entirely from the platform on December 2nd.

"How I Met Your Mother," or HIMYM to fans, is a beloved sitcom, watched by millions of people around the world, filled with iconic characters, laughable moments, and extremely catchy songs such as, "Nothing Suits Me Like A Suit" and "Let's Go To The Mall." The show has brought fans together by fostering a sense of community that has led to many lasting friendships. 

Having the show on Netflix, one of the world's most popular streaming services, is extremely useful as it allows long-time fans to watch and connect to it, as well as introducing it to new, potential viewers. 

However, if it is removed from the platform for good, many people in the HIMYM community, who don't have subscriptions to other streaming services, will be deprived of their favorite show, because for them, it's not just a show, it's a source of happiness and comfort.

"How I Met Your Mother" is not just extremely important to me because my Dad, Carter Bays, is one of the creators.

The removal would affect me, personally, because, though I have known about the show my whole life, I have only recently started watching it and I still have many episodes to go until I finish it. Because Netflix is one of the only streaming services I use, it would be difficult to adjust to watching it elsewhere.
